ESPN NHL Coverage Adds Game Analyst Changes

Maria Taylor and Emily Kaplan to Take Over Primary Analyst Role

Burke and Brunson to Continue With Secondary Roles

ESPN has announced changes to its NHL coverage team, with Maria Taylor and Emily Kaplan taking over as primary game analysts. Cindy Brunson and Doris Burke will continue to provide analysis during halftime and other segments.

Taylor, who has been with ESPN since 2014, has worked as a sideline reporter for college football and basketball, and has also hosted shows such as "Get Up!" and "NBA Countdown." Kaplan, who joined ESPN in 2016, has primarily covered college basketball, but has also contributed to the network's NHL coverage.

Brunson has been with ESPN since 2007, while Burke joined the network in 2012. Both have extensive experience as game analysts for the NHL, and are well-respected in the hockey community.

ESPN's NHL coverage begins Thursday night with a faceoff between No. 2 Boston Bruins and No. 3 Toronto Maple Leafs. Games will be televised on ESPN2.
