The French National Football Team had a great run in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. They made it all the way to the final, where they lost to Argentina on penalties. However, despite the disappointing result, there were many positives to take from the tournament. One of the standout performers for France was young midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
Tchouameni had a fantastic tournament, and he was one of the main reasons why France reached the final. He was excellent in possession, and he used his pace and power to great effect. He also scored a stunning goal in the semi-final against Morocco.
Tchouameni's performances in the World Cup have led to him being linked with a move to a number of top clubs. He is still only 22 years old, so he has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in the world. It will be interesting to see where he ends up playing next season.
