Title: HPD Seeks Tips in Manoa Homicide, Victim Identified

The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) is seeking the public's assistance in providing information about a recent homicide that occurred in Manoa.

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Mahealani Uahinui.

On February 22, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., HPD officers responded to a call of a shooting at a residence on Ferdinand Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Uahinui suffering from a gunshot wound inside the home.

Paramedics transported Uahinui to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Detectives from HPD's Homicide Detail are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking anyone with information about the case to contact them.
