Scotland 0 Poland 2 Live As Dark Clouds Form

Scotland 0 Poland 2 LIVE as dark clouds form

Scotland get the first half underway amid a sea of colour

Coverage of Scotland's Nations League clash with Poland is underway from a sun-drenched Hampden. The Tartan Army are in fine voice inside the national stadium and there's an expectancy in the air as Steve Clarke's side look to maintain their impressive recent form.

This is a clash which could have significant ramifications in Group B1 and victory for either side would move them to within touching distance of promotion to League A.

Half-time Scotland 0 Poland 0

It's been a well-contested and entertaining first half at Hampden. Both teams have had chances to take the lead but neither side has yet managed to break the deadlock.

The hosts have arguably been the more dangerous side and Ryan Fraser, in particular, has caused the Poland defence some anxious moments. However, the visitors have also had their chances and they came close to taking the lead just before the break through Robert Lewandowski.

Incredibly, the Bayern Munich striker hit the post from just a few yards out and the scores remain level going into the second half.

Poland take the lead through Lewandowski

Poland have taken the lead in the second half through Robert Lewandowski. The Bayern Munich striker made amends for his earlier miss by heading home from close range after good work from Piotr Zielinski down the left.

It's a deserved lead for the visitors, who have been the better side since the break. Scotland have struggled to create clear-cut chances and they now need to find a way back into the game.

Poland double their lead through Milik

Poland have doubled their lead through Arkadiusz Milik. The Napoli striker finished off a fine move, involving Lewandowski and Zielinski, to put the visitors in control.

It's a disappointing goal to concede for Scotland, who have been second best for much of the second half.

Scotland 0 Poland 2 final score

Scotland's hopes of promotion to League A were dealt a blow as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to Poland at Hampden.

Robert Lewandowski and Arkadiusz Milik scored the goals for the visitors, who were the better side throughout.

The result leaves Scotland third in Group B1, four points behind Poland and one point behind Ukraine.
